Electromagnetic effects – From cell biology to medicine

This paper reviews mainly the static electric fields (in embryonic development and the role of ion flows) and magnetic fields generated in cells (or at least the effects that magnetic fields exert on the variable electric fields generated in cells and biological systems), and also speaks about application of the combination of electric and magnetic fields through pulsed electromagnetic fields of low frequency.
