Enhancement of biophoton emission of prostate cancer cells by Ag nanoparticles

It has been found that although singlet oxygen contributes to biophoton emission and in combination with Ag nanoparticles those emissions are increased, also there is a mechanism independent of singlet oxygen by which Ag nanoparticles contribute to increased biophotonic emissions, the authors propose that plasmon resonance enhancement of intrinsic fluorescence can be this mechanism.
