Effects of long-term pre- and post-natal exposure to 2.45 GHz wireless devices on developing male rat kidney

Exposed rats (pre-natally): Increased renal tissue malondialdehydeand total oxidant levels. Decreased total antioxidant and superoxide dismutase levels. Increased spot urine NAG/creatinine ratio. Immunohistochemical analysis showed low-intensity staining with Bax in cortex and high-intensity staining with Bcl-2 in cortical and medullar areas. Higher Bcl2/Bax staining intensity ratios of medullar and cortical areas.

Exposed rats (post-natally): Increased spot urine NAG/creatinine ratio. Tubular injuty.
