Exposed rats: In all exposed groups ther is a decreased learning and memory activity, there is also a neuronal degeneration and enlarged perivascular spaces in the hippocampus among other histopathological changes. In 2.5 and 5 mW/cm2 groups increased concentrations of glutamate, aspartic acid, glycine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid neurotransmitter concentrations in hippocampus. |
