They applied broadband pulsed THz radiation (frequency: 0.05 ~ 2 THz, power density: 0.5 ~ 50 μW/cm2 ) to the sensory ganglion of chicken embryos and found 0.5 but not 5 and 50 μW/cm2 power accelerated ganglion growth. Interestingly, during the experiment, the sample's temperature remained constant, indicating a non-thermal effect of THz irradiation. |
